Coronado, the Spanish word for the crown. Strictly speaking, Coronado is a peninsula, not an island. But with its outstanding beaches and world-famous resorts, locals seem more willing to compare it to a resort in the Pacific, calling it Coronado. Today, a steel bridge of3.5 kilometers is built at the eastern end of the island, which is closely linked to downtown San Diego.
